just a bit of fun, playing with it as i wanted to leave the air conditioner running to cool the room down. just a piece of white paper is enough to hack the hotel key card power switch.
the switch has a 20 second power out timer, but this turned the power on after the timer times out and turns off the power.
it works by infra red LEDs bouncing light off key card and into a receiver circuit that powers a relay. thus switching power on to the room.
